We have three young clucks we got as mystery eggs and hatched. One appears to be a zombie, one a red splash wyandotte, and one mystery bird. They are three months old. Can anyone help confirm the breeds ( especially our mystery bird) and gender of these three? TIA

I'm not expert at all, but I agree the Sussex and Wyandotte seems to me to be a cockerel. The one white one looks like a hen, but it isn't a clear picture. Here is a pic of one of my female Wyandottes for comparison. She is about six months old though.

How old? Age makes a huge difference in guessing gender.

Right now, I'd guess the white bird and the wyandotte are female, based on a lack of male saddle feathers that the mystery chicken clearly shows.

The white one might be a zombie, or she could just be a mix of a dominant white breed and a non-fibro breed. It would help if we could get a picture of her head so we could see the comb.

The wyandotte is blue, not splash, but she's definitely a blue laced red wyandotte.

The mystery chicken might be a speckled Sussex, except it looks like his legs are yellow and Sussex have white legs. But he's definitely male.

I've highlighted some of the male saddle feathers in red here

Thank you. They are three months old. Yeah white is supposed to be a zombie and it was just too active for good pictures this day
