Gender??? And how do like my tractor???

My silkie roos are not crosses of anything, but their combs have sort of "knots" more toward the upper part of the beak. The comb was way thicker than that of the hens even before 10 weeks. Also, I have one that has been trying to crow since around week 11. It's faint because they're pretty quiet birds, but I catch it every now and then. My best guess is that you have two pullets, and they look good!

Thanks Silkie Man.

Also, would you say that tweetie is more of a black, or more of a blue color?
I cant tell the difference.

at what age will a cockerel crow?

if one of them is a boy?

My EE rooster, Moolie, just crowed for the first time two days ago - and he is 7-8 months old! I was raking leaves, he left his "harem" came down to where I was - got my attention, flapped and let 'er rip! Naturally, I put down the rake and clapped for him - bravo!

I had kinda been wondering if he would EVER crow ... I would have bred the heck out of a "silent rooster"!

She is definitely a pullet. Probably black, but photos are not a good way to judge slight differences in shade or hue between blues and blacks. She just looks like a girl.
