gender? and possible breed?

Can we see a closer picture of its tail feathers? (To determine wither or not it has saddle and hackle feathers.) :)

here chick chick chick.

At 2.5 months, that bird is 100% female. Here's pics of a similar colored hen at 3 months...

And a few roosters from the same hatch, 3 months old..

Roosters this age are going to have much more comb and wattles...and both the roosters in my pic have rose combs, so they're smaller in appearance that straight combs.

You have a pretty little pullet who had some barred bird(s) in her family tree, and probably also some red (RIR, etc) in there..a pretty, pretty mix.

thank you for the pics. You have some good looking chickens. Whay breed are yours or do you know?

My barred hen is (I think) a barred Rock rooster over an EE/leghorn hen. She lays pretty blue-green eggs.
The roosters in the pics were a barred rock over a silver laced Wyandotte and a black sex link rooster over a gold laced Wyandotte.

Looking at your girl, I wouldn't be surprised if she's buff Orpington and barred Rock. In the first pics I thought she was redder, but in the second batch she's more a yellow/buff. That with the leg color makes me think Orpington in the mix. She should be a nice brown egg layer for you.
