Gender/Color question on Orpingtons

#3 is looking roo to me, I am pretty sure those are saddle feathers coming in, and the whole posture looks roo. And that looks like red laced blue, I want to know how you make that color. The lemon cuckoo would explain the barring and dilute color in the first girl, still don't understand the barring in multiple colors.

This is what #2 has ended up looking like. Definitely a roo ;) I believe he is buff/splash. I recently found some feathers in the "inside" of his tail that looking like splash with the blotches and such.

Boy they turned out pretty. Love the lighter one. What did the girl wind up looking like. Did you ever find out if that is an actual color they are breeding for or you just got a lucky color cross?

I know they listed different colors in the add such as lavender and lemon cuckoo but they had them all together. I'm not sure they were really trying for anything specific. If they were they didn't mention that. Here are some newer pictures of the hen. I think she may be lavender rather than blue, but obviously has some lemon going on there too if that is the case.

Bottoms up :)

Good looking mutts, kinda like my dog who has the head of a chihuahua and the body of a min pin lol!!!

They sure turned out to be good looking birds!!! I really enjoyed your thread and the fact that you posted the more recent photo of what they turned out to look like full grown. Thanks!
