We have two Sebright that were purchased on sale due to overstock and I know they were at the store for a bit longer than normal so she is uncertain. I’m guessing they are both boys? My youngest kids really liked them (size was smaller than the other chickens, not because the chicks were friendly or anything) - they’ve been in the coop for a couple weeks, brought them in because these birds can certainly fly well!
Anyways, would you agree that they are boys or do you think they may still have a chance of being girls? (We can’t keep roosters where we are)

Thanks, I’m never really sure if everyone is weary of the “hen or roo” posts 🙃
Also open to suggestions on a good place to find Sebright (or OEG) pullets in Northern Michigan or Southwestern Ohio (or along that route) if these are both boys. The chickens are kind of pets for my kids and I know they really enjoy the bantam size of these birds.

Hi there, hope you are enjoying BYC! :frow

I agree, both are cockerels.

They (roosters) could make good pets without adding any pullets. *Possibly* better pets without the pullets, if eggs isn't an important goal.

Several hatcheries offer them, finding one that in stock may be the challenge.. I believe My Pet Chicken sexes their bantams..
