Hello! So I know they're a little young but my two turkeys are 8 1/2 weeks old. The dark one is a Narragansett & the white is a Royal Palm. So anyone have any guesses for fun? :) they're about a week apart in age but the Narragansett grew fast and is a little bigger. Also has the "gobble" like neck ‍♀️

Hi there. :frow

I've only been raising Turkeys this year, so also fairly new at this. In person it's fairly obvious on most of mine by about 6 weeks if not much sooner, but they are larger groups. So I have seen both extremes knowing their gender but also have some kinda right in the middle playing ambiguous.

Looks like two females, except the neck on the Narraganset is indicative that it may still mature into a Tom.. is that the one that's a week younger? If so, I would say you likely have a pair... one of each.

Their so ugly! :love

Thanks for your reply! Yes the Narragansett IS a week younger. That's the one were hoping is a tom. This is my first time having turkeys. I have a bunch of chickens, all types. So I also know what you mean, they are different looking lol At what age will it start becoming pretty obvious of gender?
