Gender help please

Well so far I’ve posted what you’ve all asked and then been told not to bother anyway so it’s all confusing. Not sure what exactly you want. As for making me feel daft about things such as spurs a member is one who said males won’t have the extr toe which is the spur so thanks all for the “help” I’ll come back in a few weeks. Maybe then might get somewhere without being made to feel like a complete twit

Just wait until they are about 6 weeks old and take more pictures of them and put them on this exact thread. That would be waaaaay more helpful.

Some chicken develop quicker than others. When they reach 6 weeks it's easier to tell what is what. Some baby hens like the one your showing that has a well developed crown might just stay like it is and not brighten like a roos crown will. But if you can't tell by crown the feathers and gills would be the next way to look. Just a couple more weeks and they will be able to tell you. My first batch of babies I posted and I've learned alot to look out for and finally seen what everyone was talking about with the difference between roo and hen at 6 weeks. Good luck hope you get what you want.

If it don't have spurs, then it's not a roo. But if it does, it has a possibility of being a cock or a hen.
People mistaken the back bumps on there chicks as spurs when they truly aren't. I was able to tell my little roo was a roo before he actually grew his spurs. Speaking the spurs seem to be the last thing that develops on a roo.

After that, I did say that I meant the large, pointy spurs that the roos fight with.

I don't think you are a twit. I would suggest posting new photos at 8 weeks old. With rare exceptions, I don't think early determinations prove to be viable. Comes down to 50 - 50 chance of guessing right. Pretty good odds either way. But at 8 weeks the chance of accuracy is much better or at 10 wks., 12 etc.

Some gender clues are not evident till 12 weeks of age or so.
