Gender help

Can anyone give me a ruff guess on the gender of my chicks. They are 8 weeks old today. I'm almost positive the 1 road island red is a rooster, but I'm not sure on the others.

Just break it to me easy, are there more roosters then hens?

Could you get better pictures? The important places to look would be the comb, wattles, and tail. by nine weeks, I knew I had an impossible 3/4 roo to hen ratio.... out of sexed pullets! The guys' combs were about twice the size of my hens, and were varying shades of red, while her comb was pink or pale red. They were also sporting some early sickle feathers, especially my EE roo, and were starting to have their own 'show downs'... they had even started to crow, if I recall. I think you are a worry wort like me

and have a lot of pullets. The roosters are gone now, and the two hens (because we bought six chicks, and four were, ahem 'pullets' ) should lay their fist egg any day now.

At 8 weeks I'm not seeing anyone screaming cockerel. If you're concerned about a specific bird, a better pic of that bird and a comb shot would help. The slw, for instance, has some white patches on the shoulder which could indicate male, but I can't see the comb at all.

At this point in time from what I see in these photos I would guess both are pullets.

Theoldchick thank you very much those pictures defonetly helped me see the difference. I was not aware there combs could be so large at 8 weeks. I am new to this experience I was hoping for one cockerel but guess it is time to buy one or incubate more eggs. Lol

I see all pullets

I'll send you a cockerel if you want! I got blue barred Olive eggers, I got blue and splash blue egg layers, I may have a Faverolles....I got cockerels coming out my ears!
