That was very important to know. The saddle feathers it got are not pointy and shiny like in roosters which is a sign of a pullet. Secondly, the sounds it makes are not as deep as its father's sounds and they are like female sounds, although I don't know if cockerels get their deep voice later.If it is indeed three months old, probably within the week. Saddle feathers should come in, comb should get bigger, and then around the 5-6 month mark, he (if it is indeed a he) should start crowing. Come spring, (and depending on where you are in the world) he'll be in full breeding mode!
