gender identification?

I picked up 2 straight run ducklings. When will I be able to tell gender? We have had them for 3 days and got them at a feed store. I don't have the room for more than 2 ducks and don't want to have to separate them.

You will have to wait awhile. In a few weeks, if you have a girl, her soft little peeping with turn in to loud quacks. If there is a boy in the group, his peeping will turn in to a raspy "reep reep" sound. If you have a boy and a girl, there is no need to separate them. Just collect any laid eggs.
