Gender in Black Australorps?

I've got 8 week old Black Australorp chicks and a friend of mine wants two pullets from my group.

I have several that have obvious red combs at this point and several that don't have really any comb at all [hatched the same day]. Is it safe at 8 weeks to assume the ones without combs are girls? Or should I wait longer in case I have late bloomers? How soon is it obvious?

I have a black Australorp and she is a she. No evidence of a comb at 8 weeks, so Id say yes, it is safe to assume that.
