Gender-neutral bathrooms; a different perspective.

I never get this discussion.
I have a gender-neutral bathroom at home and so does everyone I know.
We call it 'the toilet' or 'bathroom'.
We poo and pee in there and gays/pedos/transexuals get the same angry 'leave me alone I am doing #2 and it is not coming out if you are distubring me!'when knocking on the door. And the pedo's get another kind of knocking.

I don't get the angst in this weird discussion. Let toilets be toilets. Nasty pedo or rapey people are not taking the effort to dress up as an different sex to wait all day in a public toilet for the chance to rape? They are nasty oppurtunic people that do it everywhere, especially when noone is watching because they are too busy to make toilets 'rape-free'.

Allmost every country in the world has 'gender-neutral' toilets. Also known as 'toilets'.
Those countries have not an higher rape/pedo/converted gay/or whatever your irrational angst is/numbers. I am sure this can work in the USA too.

We laugh, and cry, about the news and reports how the USA is so uptight busy with toilets. You let everyone pee in your toilet at home right? Why would is suddenly be different in schools etc?

I read somewhere online a few years ago that apparently in some parts of Europe they have neutral restrooms only, and similar to what is in some theaters and stadiums here, meaning no doors between the hallway or lobby, you walk around a wall or two that prevents a possible peepshow to the world if someone is in dire need and starting to disrobe as they sprint to a stall, but the stalls all have doors that either leave no more than an inch or 2 at the bottom or have vent grates on them so there is very little chance of peepers seeing anything. IDK if there is a separate urinal area or if they are all individual stalls. But from what I read there are set up like in many large public restrooms a bank of sinks on the opposite wall, but some people seemed upset that someone proposed an area with no separate sink areas, but I was like unless your intimate parts are on the ends of your arms then why have wash basins segregated? the only thing I could think of is they wanted to take a sink bath in a public restroom....

We have restrooms for everyone. Man, female, not other specified, dissabillties. There is an common room where you enter and then there are stalls. The stalls have doors so you don't have to be naked in front of every one else. The one or two bigger stalls are for people with a wheelchair but you are allowed to use them when noone is using them. Sometimes there is a trough for men to pee in, Sometimes there is a "French' or 'Turkish' toilet. That is a hole in the ground. I find it really annoying as a female with trousers. It is made for men and woman with dresses. Sometimes you also have a water-unit for rinsing because some cultures find it really gross to spread your stuff around with toiletpaper and like to clean it with water.
Peeping? :')
When you stop to being so uptight about men and women being so magically being different.. peeping is not an issue .You are in a room to pee or poo, with men or women, children or seniors, men or women changing the diaper of their baby, two teenagers that want to use the toilet to secterely enjoy each other, a person in a wheelchair that asks if you can open the door, a drunk person that tells herhis whole divorce story...people just being vulnerable people. Porn is fee now. Peepers don't need to peep. If they do they can be sure to get boo-ed an police-called by these people just being people in a toilet. That and your ankle doesn't rot away and falls off when a weirdo guy looked at it.

I really want to invite you all how really normal and not scary it is to go to a toilet.

Dear madam or sir, peeping IS an issue here! we have gender specific and gender neutral changing rooms in our stores here to try on new clothing to see if it fits and there is perverts taking cell phone videos under the doors/walls. also people with cameras installed in their shoes to record up ladies dresses. It is on our news several times a year, and the perverts are not always caught. Also I am assuming you meant porn is free, which it is on the internet and it infects your computer in many cases, and if you did mean fee as in a charge many people do not want to pay. no one I know of is concerned about ankle fetishes.....

Peepers gonna be peeping. Raper gonna rape and pedo's will pedo.
These people should be punished and the solution should not be sought in that the whole rest of the world should change for these few oddballs.
It's the short-skirt debate. Forbidding women of wearing short skirts does not make the rapers less rapey.
It should be normal that everyone can enter a toilet and feel safe there. We can achieve this as an group if we just kick anyone out that doesn't treat others with respect instead making different toilets for everyone. With that mentally we can also make a special toilet for peepers; but guess what. The peepers don't give a poo about these rules, it also for them takes the peeping out of peeping, and just will go peep in the toilets for non-peepers.
We can as a group achieve much, if we feel like a group. Seperating people in stalls by gender, obstructing a father to change the diaper of her daughter, because he is not allowed in the women-toilet and his daughter isn't on the males, does not do that. It creates an athmospehere if we are all really different; while if we feel less different people will actually call-out people with unwanted tendecies out.
You ban debate on how breast-feeding in public is normal or not and should be done in restrooms, being gay or transeksual; but I am sure that we can all agree that is NOT normal to be touched/filmed in toilets and we can find the strength together to actually stand up to these people when we see this happen in our toilets. Our toilets that are just toilets. For eveyrone.
