I have 2 Easter Egger chicks that are 6 weeks old today. I purchased them from My Pet Chicken/Meyer as 1-day-old pullets.

Audrey is high in the pecking order and leaderly while Celia Is low in the pecking order and a bit flighty. Audrey is a bit smaller that Celia overall and has slightly smaller legs and feet as well. Both feathered out pretty quickly and could fly before the other breeds in my flock.

Within the past week Audrey's comb has taken on a coral hue and become noticeably more prominent than Celia's. Audrey has not taken on a rooster stance, bumped chests with the other chicks, or tried to crow. Based on what I've read on BYC she has a girly feather pattern. But there's that comb! And she is the bold and fearless type... Is Audrey a he? I will post several pictures of her and one of Celia, same age and breed, for comparison.

Look forward to seeing the photos as it is impossible to say without them - behavior is a poor indicator of gender at this age as both genders will engage in what many people think of as "roo-ish" behaviors like chest bumping, flaring, etc.
