I know I've already done a post on this, and it's almost unanimously a pullet, but in a week has this OE's gender magically changed? He just seems to act like a rooster, and I'm really hoping he is. He even has a way deeper voice than all the chicks, and is recklessly curious, but his feathers all indicate girl! Here he is, with another chick behind him.

This is another OE girl, the same age.

Here he is again.

Ok, I knew you'd say that... but in another week I'll probably be pestering all you helpful people again, hoping that you'll say it's a cockerel. But you of course know way more about this than I, so I'm going to trust you for now.

She doesn't look pure OE to me. too big boned and heavy.. Most OE don't have crests, with Toppies being a major exception, however it still doesn't quite have the OE type.

I was under the impression that there is no such thing as a "pure OE". They are crossbreeds by definition, surely, defined only be their egg colour?

She looks like a pullet that will lay nice and early!
