Gender of two RIR's?

[Pullet Press]

These 2 pictures are of separate Rhode Island Red pullets (supposedly). Are they or are they not pullets? I'm really hoping that they're hens, but if they're roosters, I'll gladly set up a bachelor pad for them.

Age? Both tails have round saddle feathers so I say both pullets. I thought both of my rirs were roosters since they have wonky tail shapes.

I think I might be in the same boat as you! I've got two RIR and two ISA browns and one of the RIR is seeming to me to be a bit boyish. I'm new to the chicken raising world so maybe it's a novice eye but "Penny(maybe Peter)" is growing a little different the then rest. Their legs and feet are thicker and while everyone else is covered in baby feathers they still have a good amount of down but is growing faster than the rest. They also have a serious attitude! Very friendly towards me but likes to pick fights with the rest and stands up super tall when they do. I hope she is not a he because since I got them to lay eggs my better half plans to re home any boys so we don't have a crazy crowing clucker in the yard. Our neighbors have a rooster that crows day and night. He thinks he's a guard dog, it's cute but gets annoying sometimes.

Age? Combs and wattles are the best indicators until they are 15 weeks and sometimes even older.

Roosters do have thicker legs.

Mine are only about 4-5 weeks old so it's probably way too early to tell right?

Also "Penny" has a thicker more pronounced comb than the rest
