Gender Opinions Wanted

Regarding these two buff Brahma chicks? Male or Female??? and why do you think it? (I have my thoughts but want to hear your opinions)


***(the chick on the far right is a back yard mixed hatch feel free to give opinions there if you want but mostly curious on the brahmas)

Too young to be sure, but don't any traits that scream rooster yet.

The two buff Brahmas are the same age and one has a big bush tail feather and the other has a teeny nub of a tail feather…

Not all birds mature at same rate. There are specific breeds specifically known for fast-feathering females and slow-feathering males, but outside of those breeds getting a tail fast or slowly doesn't necessarily say anything about the bird's gender. Give it a month and you'll probably be able to have a strong idea of the genders.

Updated pic of these two - time will tell - just figured I’d share incase someone is wanting to see the development.

One is a buff Brahma the other is an EE/mystery mix (back yard egg + broody hen+push over human!)

They’re adorable
