Think the breeder who said it was a bad idea was probably right. You keep saying baby, you mean babies because there needs to be two and your doves are going to struggle to feed two big pigeon babies.

Just go with young birds. newly left the nest birds are only about 4 weeks old anyway, plenty young enough to learn you are their friend. Just take their food out at night and put your hand in with food in the morning when they are hungry for a bit before putting the food back for the day. They will soon eating from your hand.

Yes, because a pigeon is so much bigger than a dove. The doves will get too tired and it will put too much stress on them to get enough food into it.

As I said before, just get 2 young birds that are just independent of their parents. They will be healthy and easy to tame.

ok thankyou everyone i really appreciate the advice everyone has given me and i think i may wait until i can build my aviary with my uncle so i will have the space for multiple pigeons sorry if ive seemed a little think in the skull i kinda have to let stuff sink in before i get it
