I have 8 1 month old chickens. (4 EE's and 4 gold laced wyandottes). I've started to notice some have much bigger tail feathers then the others. Being still new to chickens I'm not sure if this means some are males and some are females? I did mail order all of them and when ordered I did request all females.

Do you have any pictures to share? There are many knowledgeable people here on BYC that can probably give you a pretty good idea on which ones are pullets and which ones are cockerels.

X2 on the above. Sexing chicks without pics is like shooting in the dark. If you can get some photos posted, we'd be happy to take a look at your birds. In addition to full body profiles, close ups of the combs would really help in determining gender.)

this gold laced has a tail.

(None of them show a significant comb. None are getting pink/red and none have really grown.

I know they are still young but def confusing since they are all the same age.
I have four RIR that all developed tails pretty much at the same time and same length. So not sure if this is typical for this breed or if I some how got males in this bunch
