Gender questioncall ducks

Looks like two Drakes to me..:frow
Very well could be.
I thought that first seeing the neck ring. But I think they would have a drake feather at 8 months unless they have molted them out right now.. Which could be if it's summer there.
I have a hen with a neck ring so that doesn't always mean anything.
Voice would be the best way to tell.

Have either of them changed color patterns? By 8 months, a male grey or grey pied wouldn’t have that coloring. I think they are both female, if they are 8 months old.

Do they have any hiding places that they could have laid eggs? Mine tend to cover them up, if leaves or loose bedding or something is available. They like to hide eggs.

My mallard mixed calls only took about two months to change into distinct mallard drakes and hens...plus...with calls...talking alll day long...I can’t imagine you can’t get a feel for it. They just quack and quack and quack..etc...:)
