Gender wyandotte 9/10 weeks

UPDATE:
He is now 10/11 weeks and started crowing yesterdag. It sounded like someone is blowing on a kazoo or something lol.
Pictures for people who are also trying to guess the gender of their SL wyandottes. Still no typicall rooster feathers but he surely is a boy.
This is honestly nuts! I've never seen a wyandotte cockerel with such perfect lacing and no rooster feathers or patterning. Please keep updating us as he grows!

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. Their first crows are so hilarious, aren't they?

He sure is one gorgeous cockerel, I hope you can keep him.
My neighbour said he was looking in the trees to find out which bird was making that sound 😄

My 2 closest neighbours agree with me to keep him for now. They are not bothered yet. For now he has only crowd between 7 and 8 in the morning, after the nightcoop opens. I put a dark blanket over it to keep it as dark as possible.
Let's hope he doesn't become a rooster that crows alot or really early or both. Because I have alot of neighbours (surrounded by other gardens and next to an appartement building). And I don't live in a town with very tolerant people.

Yes I will post more pictures as he grows!

12 weeks now!
Growing but still no obvious rooster feathers. Maybe some saddle feathers? But they don't look pointy yet.

I'm pretty certain it's Pullet, unless it's a super late blooming cockerel, or one with the best lacing I would ever see on a Wyandotte Cockerel/Rooster.

But I'm also thinking a super late bloomer. This one tickles at my brain.

The photo from the top down makes me think cockerel, because he’s got some super iridescent feathers that could be male hackles. Plus the crowing…I’m really thinking it’s a cockerel now. :hmm

Still absolutely shocked at the quality of the lacing if we have a cockerel. I am maybe, *maybe* beginning to see to see some feathering that leans ever so slightly cockerel--the messier white feathers coming in on the shoulder, which would eventually become a mostly white shoulder/wing on a male black laced silver wyandotte. Maybe the hackles that could have some sheen?

Does anyone have experience with show-quality wyandottes? Maybe we're all just used to garden-variety hatchery types and it's more typical for quality roos to be late bloomers. I don't have enough eye for the SoP on shape, stance, etc. to know myself.

Thank you for updating, please continue to do so!

They say pullets don't crow and he has been crowing in the morning. Not alot, a few minutes between 7 and 9.
So probably will be a late bloomer like you say.
I really wonder how he will look in a few months:)

I should ask my friend from what kind of breeder she got the eggs.
