Sadly, yes, at first it had a “roomie” but he/she passed, when he/she was hatching it did good and the day after it hatched it was moving everywhere, I mean running a lot and then the next day it couldn’t lift itself up so I gave it some electrolytes in its water and gave it a small bit of sugar water with turmeric (something my great great grandmother did, that perked up all of her chicks that didn’t have the energy) then the next day it died idk what I did wrong it had food and water but it might have been where the humidity was 90% which is a very bad thing when incubating which also drowned all the other chicks in there shells, also a reminder this is my second time doing this without help just using online sense and common sense, but the last time I did very good I had a 75% hatch out of 50 eggs this time was about a 4% hatch, only 2 hatched out of 20 and then one died, so I tried to have roommates but it just didn’t go very well this timeDo you only have one? Chickens are social, especially as chicks, so they shouldn't be kept alone.
It will need a friend. Try buying another hen that’s bout the same ageSadly, yes, at first it had a “roomie” but he/she passed, when he/she was hatching it did good and the day after it hatched it was moving everywhere, I mean running a lot and then the next day it couldn’t lift itself up so I gave it some electrolytes in its water and gave it a small bit of sugar water with turmeric (something my great great grandmother did, that perked up all of her chicks that didn’t have the energy) then the next day it died idk what I did wrong it had food and water but it might have been where the humidity was 90% which is a very bad thing when incubating which also drowned all the other chicks in there shells, also a reminder this is my second time doing this without help just using online sense and common sense, but the last time I did very good I had a 75% hatch out of 50 eggs this time was about a 4% hatch, only 2 hatched out of 20 and then one died, so I tried to have roommates but it just didn’t go very well this time
