Hi! I have 4 California whites and we are not sure if they will grow up to be hens or roosters. These are the first chickens we've ever owned so we're new to this! They are about 9-10 weeks old. I've only included pictures of one of them for right now. Thank you for your help.

I would say the ones with the large red combs are all cockerels, the one with the smaller comb is a pullet, and I agree that in the first two pictures he looks very much like a red sex link cockerel. I'm not sure if the others are california whites, I don't know enough about the breed to say for sure.

Thank you for your quick response! Very interesting to know he's not a CA white!
Do you know if these are CA whites? and the gender? I'm thinking they must be cockrels except for one of them now.

I agree with chrissynemetz. You can tell by the combs, size difference, and if you look at the feet, you can see that the cockerels have much thicker legs and longer toes. Cockerels will also grow long pointed feathers on their neck and saddle areas. Hope you don't mind all the crowing!
