I'm wondering if anything in the incubation process determines the gender of a chick or if it's completely random? The chicks I've hatched from my first 2 incubations look like they'll be hens. The chicks from my last hatch are too young to tell yet.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
