General Gobbler question..With PIC..!!Updated Pictures!!

It isn't ugly at all. Very cute. But they do much better if you have more than one. My turkeys would not touch the water if i put anything in it. Once they are a little bigger they get ACV in the water. Try a little hard boiled egg yolk. When we got our last few poults they had a two hour drive to get home and took almost 24 hours of a lot of resting before they were up and around.

Does the poult have a greyish strip down it's back? Mine looked like that and they are Sweetgrass turkeys.

He is doing fine.
He is drinking,eating,pooping ok.
Wlaks around.. looks at stuff.. tries ot fly around in the guestroom.
And he was peeping half the night.. so everytime i got up to see if he was ok he would stop.. I leave.. he would start again.I think he might be lonely. I have 11 guinea fowls but they are a little bigger than him.Should I put one in there with him to keep him company?

His temp in there is around 89..I read up to 95 is best but I also have to keep window open cause he is a stinky little bugger.

But he is doing fine so far..I am hoping he will make it.

I wil ltry to house a guinea with him.
will let ya know how that turns out:)

That temp sounds fine with his size. You need to decrease the heat 5 degrees every week until you get to 70.

He does need a friend to keep him company. If the guinea doesn't bully him I would say that would be fine for a friend.

Tried the guinea friend this morning.Guinea was squawking so much I wanted to wring his little neck.I am looking into getting another turkey babe for him/her. So that was a no go.
This room he is in is my computer room so we are with it alot during the day but I am sure our company isnt what he wants.
..last night he peeped alot .. guess he is lonely.. I wish he would be content with a rubber ducky. But it seems he does need a real friend.

You can try a mirror (some folks seem to think this helps with the peeping), a radio tuned to classical was useful, here.
Ours all arrived as two day olds and they imprinted on us immediately (brooder was in one of the bathrooms). They wanted to see us 24/7.

They can go winging around pretty darn good when they're the size of yours (just clear shelves of breakables/light cords/etc.).

They are very social birds.
