can anyone give me a general timeline on chick development. i have one little fellow that is 3 weeks old and is still fuzzy (roo i think). he barely has feathers on his wing tips, but is as big as the rest. at the other end of the spectrum i have what i think is a little roo that is mostly feathered out and his comb and wattles are turning red and developing fairly fast. kiwi (cause he's still fuzzy and reminds me of a kiwi bird) seems to be the low bird on the pole, even if he does try to "fight" back (kinda macho in each others face chest bump). i think only the roos are doing this since they are starting to jump and bring their feet up like they are practicing fighting (like puppies wrestling). everyone else is between these 2. there is another chick i think is a roo and a couple i think are hens that are close to speckles (the dom roo?) in development. most of the others are close. to them. and all but kiwi have full wing and tail feathers. one hen as started to put almost like a turkey hen. is that normal

all the chicks are 3 weeks old and are all SLW. 25 of them. have plenty of room. got moved to the coop/brooder yesterday. 4'x8' inside and 4x8 outside with tin roof. no bald spots, all are active, no feather picking.

anyway. times for wing feathers, tail feathers, back and neck feathers, comb/wattle development and reddening, head and neck feathers, crow, anything i haven't thought of yet. also does the place in the pecking order effect development, or development effect pecking order.

thanks
