I have a friend off BYC near me hatching some eggs for me. Those are White Orps. Langshans, Wheaten Ameraucana, Barred Cochin, Buff Silkie and some Button Quail and some EE. Those have like 17 more days. The eggs I am setting in MY bator are Blue Copper Maran and Blue Laced Red Wyandotte and more Wheatens and some true RIR and some more Langshans and whatever else we find out there tomorrow. I'm setting MY bator Saturday morning. I will deffenently have my hands full.

You guys are all going to enjoy your 1588's. I just got my second one this week so you know I like mine

I bought my first one last year and hatched 11 out of 12 eggs first time I used it.
It was my test run before buying eggs and I wasn't expecting the success.
Good luck to you all and don't be scared!

I read to only remove it if you get condensation on the window/high altitude . I just make sure the center trough is full then at lockdown fill the other one. I've never checked the humidity though. My first hatch rate was terrible but I had eggs close to two weeks old. Had a delay in shipping and then hens kicked into high gear for laying. Eagerly waiting next hatch with less than a week old eggs set.

Yay I love informational threads! My Genesis should be here on Monday, with hatching eggs arriving around the 10th of March. I'm so excited, this'll be my first time hatching too.
