I am adding 50 new silvers to my head every day over these eggs. LOL

Just a little note about the water weasel...if you want to use one that's fine.....I did for quite awhile. Then it sprang a leak and I just never could find another one.....my hatches stayed good with or without it, so I haven't used one for quite some time now and I doubt I will again.

Thank you all so much...it really means a lot to me. I will get the hygrometer in there tomorrow!

Okay what humidity level should I keep them at for the first 18 days? I am between 1200 - 1600 ft elevation You know your eggs....so what should I do?

Yes there are only 7 of those precious eggs in the bator. she also sent me 5 Delawares and I threw in 2 EE eggs and 4 unknown, that I think are my cochins' eggs...if so they will be cochin x EE mutts...bearded muffed feather footed fluffballs. bwahahahaha

Anything from Cyn's flock is priceless, IMO.

Sorry to worry you about the water wiggler / weasel. I sure didn't mean too! I couldn't find one in my Wal-Mart here and finally ended up at the Dollar Tree. When I was looking for party stuff for my DD, I found them in the party favor section at Wal-Mart. Like it has already been pointed out though, you don't "have" to have one. It is just a tool like Cyn stated. I'm sorry I made you worry about it.

gumpsgirl...no sweat. Ask Cyn, I am a nervous ninny about these eggs. I talk to them, get up several times a night to check on them and will be heading to Wal-mart in just a little bit to get a hygrometer. I want these eggs to have every chance and not be killed by my lack of knowledge or stupidity in doing something stupid.

Cetawin - if I was able to hatch the lonely Blue Orp egg that Cyn sent me in a batch of BR and BR x BO, then you can do it! That was my very first time hatching eggs too.
