We have not had a good hatch from my broody hens this year. Maybe 3 out of every ten. So we decided to bring all the set eggs in and put them in my new 1588.
Now my problem is they were all started on different days.
Can the turner run correctly with part of the trays removed so I can hatch on one end?
Some of the eggs we are not even sure of the hatch dates. I can guess within a week but dont know when to stop turning. Will it hurt them to stay in rotation? would it be worse to stop turning too soon or rotate too long?
and is it better to hatch in a carton or rolling around on the wire floor?
THANKS
