Genesis Hova bator 1588???

Cutler supply didnt have it.

I bought mine at http://www.homeandbarnbasics.com
I used the BYC5 code and saved a few bucks. That is the cheapest place that I could find it. I already have a turner that will work with the 1588, so I didnt need to buy that.

Sounds like a good incubator.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad to hear someone else say this. I've lost more than twenty in the past two weeks to this death chamber!

The temp had some problems staying stable. Sometimes the thermostat would just light up for no discernible reason. Because of the way the lid doesn't fit, the humidity has been almost impossible to keep up. We have to add water three times a day--without opening it! I think the lid is at least partially responsible for the temp issue. I've noticed that anytime it gets rattled, even from the vibrations of footsteps, the thermostat comes on. Of course, at this point I feel like I'm grasping for straws as to why this thing is useless. I have two Hovabators and have no complaints about either.

I have one and I'm new to incubating. I do have trouble with room temp effecting the interior temp. We heat with a wood stove and our room temps jump around a lot. I don't like that there is nothing to grasp to open the thing. I have fingernail marks all over mine. I haven't used any other makes, so I can't compare. I'm selling mine. Sticking to a broody.

I do have another hovabator 1602n that I use to hatch in. It doesnt have anything to grasp either. I just grip the sides.

I keep my incubator in a finished basement. The temp stays pretty stable in the basement.

Okay... y'all keep saying that Cutler is the cheapest place, but when I google search it comes up that GQF is actually cheapest (the manufacturer). Also, Cutler's site isn't showing a 1588. They have a 1602, 1583 and a 2362. Searching for a 1588 turns up nothing.

??

I'm confused.
