What is a Light Brahma over a BSL Hen?

I am working on making a Columbian Rock-
Light Brahma x Barred Rock
f1 hens breed back to Light Brahma Roo (roosters culled to another flock)
f2 Breed together (culling feaher legs and Peacombs *to layer flock*)

I have 1 light brahma rooster

over the Following hens:

3 Light Brahma
5 Barred Rocks
2 New Hampshire
20 Black Sex Link
1 Easter Egger or Americauna (green egg layer)

So I know the white chicks are Light Brahma x New Hampshire or EE
(EE has the Cheek tuffs)
(New Hampshires have the redish Splash in their white feathers)

I am unsure if there is enough Barred Rock in the Sex Link to Consider them a part of my breeding program or if I should just add them to the layer flock..........

I'd skip the BSL hens. Since they are already a cross, they'll just muddy the water, IMO. Interesting project. The birds are handsome!

I think maybe it's because they are extremely hard to find, Chris. Not sure why, but so many are having issues getting this variety. A friend ordered some from a hatchery in Idaho (I think) and they came out looking like total crossbreeds, laced all over. It was weird.

It is a good idea but might be around 5 to 10 years of breeding to get something close to the Columbian Rock..

They are a little hard to find and but from what I here, there are some good here in the stats and in Canada.. There was a few people that had some eggs shipped in from Dick Nieuland's in Canada.
Some of the breeders here in the States that I found are:
Tom Richardson in Pa,
Jerry Powell here in Ohio
And I believe that Dick Horstman in Pa still might have some...

I think they will all join the layer flock in a couple of weeks......But I wanted them to gain alittle more size first.
