Well you will get IB Pied WE hens, Cameo Pied WE hens, White IB WE hens, White Cameo WE hens, IB dark pied WE hens, Cameo dark pied WE hens, IB pied WE males split Cameo, Cameo pied WE males, White IB WE males split Cameo, White Cameo WE males, IB dark pied WE males split Cameo and Cameo dark pied WE males. Note that I fully describe the genetics of the white birds.
If the male and female have the "silver pied" version of the WE gene (if it exists like I suggest), you could get silver pieds and silver pied splits.
To get these parents we split the WE in silver pieds so the parents should be split silver pied but still full WE. In other words one normal WE gene and one silver pied WE gene. I also got another trio of cameo pied we from Bard Legg that throws the same chicks so I assume he is making the cameo pied white eyes from silver pieds.
Such beautiful birds! But please tell me what it is that you look for that makes it 'obvious' that she is White Eye?
Her body is very light coloured, and very obvious if she is producing silverpied offspring.
No problem on the questions. A WE hen has a silver frosting on her back and wing saddles. If you put a WE next to a non WE of any color you can see the difference.
Not a cameo expert at all here...I don't raise them, but my guess from seeing cameos and photos of them is what you are seeing as dappling is just old and new feathers together. Some peafowl varieties seem to show old feathers more obviously than say India Blues. The new feathers are darker while the old feathers are lighter. That is just my guess AugeredIn will probably know for sure. But, but, most of my hens are dappled, which I took as being part of the Cameo color like camouflage. I think that most of that dappling is actually a cream color. I see a lot of grayish colored feathers in some of my Cameos, is that unusual?
