Cass gripped the table with anxiety. Her claws dug into the table. Wait- claws? "Julia? I've got a problem."

She covered her ears with her hands. "don't yell!" she said, trying to block out the noises if the cafeteria. Julia's eyes widened as she looked at Cass' claws. She opened her mouth to say something, but noting came out.

"I didn't," Cass whispered, "Is something wrong?"

She nodded. "Everything is way to loud. I can hear everything that's said or done." She said, still covering her ears.

"Come to the dorm with me. We've got to figure this out." said Cass, her claws returned to nails.

Avis wondered at the amazing detail of everything she was seeing. And somehow she knew exactly where she was, where her home was and- everything.

She nodded and stood up. She was holding her ears so tightly that her knuckles were turning white. Her face was pale as she walked hastily out of the cafeteria.

Cass closed the windows of the dorm room; she carefully shut the door. "This is not good." she said, still in a whisper.
