A sudden crashing sound filled the ears of the students, they rushed outside to see what had happened. A huge, shimmering barrier encircled the island, the image of the outside world wavering like heated air. The students approached it, treking across the island. Sylvester stared at it. And then he made a fatal mistake. He tried to get past it. There was a flash, a high-pitched whistling sound - and there was Sylvester. Sylvester's body, that is. "Julia," said Cassie, her voice trembling, "I think we'll have to reschedule that trip."

Julia's jaw dropped, her eyes wide in shock. She nodded, her hands trembling slightly.

Avis threw up in a corner. Gideon stared in horror.

Kathryn whimpered I think it was aliens! She thought and stared in horror at Sylvester's dead body.
