Jenna walked out of one of the unused classrooms in the school. She blinked at the sudden brightness the dim hallway lights had achieved, and winced at the sudden assault on her senses. Her footsteps were as loud as a door slamming, and she could smell cleaning products, food, and, surprisingly, the students themselves. She squinted, pulling a pair of sunglasses out of her bag and put them on, sighing in relief as the light darkened. 'Where is everybody?' Jenna wondered. Sniffing experimentally, she followed the strongest scents into a larger hallway. Jenna noticed that the farther she went, the more bitter the scents became. 'They're afraid,' Jenna thought, then 'Wait, how do I know that?' Jenna suddenly got very nervous. If her eyes weren't open, she would have sworn that she was in the middle of nowhere, due to the sensation of empty space around her. She shivered and started to run towers the school doors, only to skid to a stop, astonished at the speed she had just achieved. She sensed something cold behind her and leaped forward, spinning around. Jenna frowned, confused. There was no one but her in the hall, and apparently this area of the school, as the only sound she heard was a faint babble of voices in the distance. She looked around and this time noticed an air vent in the ceiling. Now extremely nervous, Jenna moved cautiously towards the main entrance of the school.
