~*~Genetically High RP (Role Play)~*~Unlike Any Other!~*~

"Nice work!" Phil remarked, clearly impressed. "You weren't kidding were you?" he joked as he reached into the locker and flicked on the switch for the single bulb hanging from the ceiling. He rubbed his hands towgether, saying "Alrighty then, let's see what we have to work with here." Phil's eyes lit up as he exlaimed "YES! It's all still here!" Inside the locker there were two TAZER electric stun-guns, three Kevlar bullet-proof vests, four Colt M-1911 .45 Caliber pistols, and a single American M-1 Carbine rifle with a scope and suppressor. It was a very old gun, having been used in the second world war and brought home as a relic by the father of one of the security officers, it was actually the personal hunting rifle of the head of campus security. Phil picked up the antique weapon, gazing at it in the yellow light from the bulb overhead, and whistled in wonder. "I'd heard about the head of security having an old rifle, but this is just incredible!" He turned the rifle over an over, examining it from all angles, and something caught his eye. Carved into the left side of the custom mohagony shock, there was a single word engraved into the surface. "Beatrice," Phil said, "owner must have been attached enough to this gun to name it, and I don't blame him, this thing is beautiful!" He looked it over again and found something else on the forward hand grip. There was a clean hole in the very front of the wooden grip that went nearly all the way to the back of the grip, but in the bottom of the hole Phil could see a small metal object that fit the size of the hole exactly. He then realized that at some point, probably during WWII. the gun had quite literally taken a bullet for its owner. He found a small plaque near the entry hole that read "September 12, 1944. Lorane, France. I had stumbled upon a German officer in a trench, and as I raised my weapon to fire he took a crack-shot at me with his Luger. The bullet would have gone right through my skull if Beatrice hadn't stopped it. I owe her my life, and she has never failed me. Francis Drake."
"This gun saved someone's life," Phil said in amazement. He heard loud rumble of thunder from outside, then said, "come on, lets grab the stuff and head back." He quickly threw the Colt pistols into his backpack along with the ammo magazines and the several quik-lok gun mods that were in the closet. He donned his pack, then put two of the bullet-proof vests over his shoulder. Lastly, he picked up Beatrice and said to Avis "Can you grab the stun-guns and the other vest? I'm gonna go upstairs and tell Dirk we've got the stuff." Almost before he finished, a voice came down the stairs "Hey guys! I think I've got something!" Phil turned back to Avis and said "Come on, he may have found a working phone," before he turned and headed towards the stairs.

Avis grinned, "Sure." She grabbed the stuff and then grabbed another gun, a 20 caliber double-barrel shotgun. "Meet Alexander." She grabbed her shells. "They put that padlock on because of me. Long story, nothing criminal."

wow, it's been a while since i checked up on this RP, and i have no idea what my charries were doing (i barely remember their names!) soooo... I think i'll just jump in randomly :)

Phoenix stood outside, looking up at the swirling, ominous black clouds overhead. I wonder if the rain can come in through the barrier... she pondered. Her long hair swirled behind her in the breeze.

"Sounds interesting, you'll have to tell the rest of us sometime," Phil said as he and Avis started up the stairs.

Someone called out to Phoenix from behind her, saying "Hey! Come on, we need to get inside before the storm gets any worse!" He motioned for her to come over towards where he was at the side enterance of the main building. As he spoke, a distant rumble signaled the approach of lightning and the first drops of rain began to fall.

(I'm just going to say for simplicity's sake that everybody else save for Dirk, Avis, and Phil are already inside the gymnasium-basement of the main building getting ready to hunker down for the night and doingwhateverelseIdon'tevenknow. This should make it easier for people to jump back on, and it might be a good idea to do so soon because Connie is about to get the shock of her life, if you know what I mean.

Phoenix took one last longing look at the sky. She had never really felt this way before, but she didn't want to go inside. It seemed too... stuffy. not free enough. Her shoulders sagged dejectedly, then she grimaced as another twinge of pain shot up her back. she rubbed it furiously, then walked inside.

Inside the main building's basement-gym, most of the rest of the students were mingling around talking amongst each other, trying to figure out what might be going on with the dissappearance of everyone else on the island, the barrier, and the discovery of these strange abilities that they all seemed to have. Well, everyone except Connie and Dirk Hodges. Neither of them had shown any kind of noticable changes thus far, even though nearly everyone else was already aware of and even using their newfound powers. Connie noticed Phoenix coming inside and strolled over towards her with a smile that only existed on the outside. On the inside, Connie was feeling more stress and separation than most people should ever have to feel in their lives. She felt like the safety and lives of the several hundred students left were all riding on the performance of her and Gideon, which was incredibly demanding even after only a few hours. She also felt like a bit of an outsider in the group. Normally, someone getting powers like the students had suddenly recieved would make someone feel like an outcast, but Connie felt like she and her older brother were the only two people out of hundreds who hadn't developed anything. She felt overwhelmed and alone, but she didn't show it as she walked up to Phoenix, saying "Hey, you okay? What's your name?"

In the campus security building, Phil and Avis reached the top floor just as Dirk called out "GUYS, come here quick! I think I've got a dial tone on this thing!" Phil's eyes widened as he started running towards Dirk's voice, saying to Avis "Come on, we might actually have working communication with the outside!"
