"Nice work!" Phil remarked, clearly impressed. "You weren't kidding were you?" he joked as he reached into the locker and flicked on the switch for the single bulb hanging from the ceiling. He rubbed his hands towgether, saying "Alrighty then, let's see what we have to work with here." Phil's eyes lit up as he exlaimed "YES! It's all still here!" Inside the locker there were two TAZER electric stun-guns, three Kevlar bullet-proof vests, four Colt M-1911 .45 Caliber pistols, and a single American M-1 Carbine rifle with a scope and suppressor. It was a very old gun, having been used in the second world war and brought home as a relic by the father of one of the security officers, it was actually the personal hunting rifle of the head of campus security. Phil picked up the antique weapon, gazing at it in the yellow light from the bulb overhead, and whistled in wonder. "I'd heard about the head of security having an old rifle, but this is just incredible!" He turned the rifle over an over, examining it from all angles, and something caught his eye. Carved into the left side of the custom mohagony shock, there was a single word engraved into the surface. "Beatrice," Phil said, "owner must have been attached enough to this gun to name it, and I don't blame him, this thing is beautiful!" He looked it over again and found something else on the forward hand grip. There was a clean hole in the very front of the wooden grip that went nearly all the way to the back of the grip, but in the bottom of the hole Phil could see a small metal object that fit the size of the hole exactly. He then realized that at some point, probably during WWII. the gun had quite literally taken a bullet for its owner. He found a small plaque near the entry hole that read "September 12, 1944. Lorane, France. I had stumbled upon a German officer in a trench, and as I raised my weapon to fire he took a crack-shot at me with his Luger. The bullet would have gone right through my skull if Beatrice hadn't stopped it. I owe her my life, and she has never failed me. Francis Drake."
"This gun saved someone's life," Phil said in amazement. He heard loud rumble of thunder from outside, then said, "come on, lets grab the stuff and head back." He quickly threw the Colt pistols into his backpack along with the ammo magazines and the several quik-lok gun mods that were in the closet. He donned his pack, then put two of the bullet-proof vests over his shoulder. Lastly, he picked up Beatrice and said to Avis "Can you grab the stun-guns and the other vest? I'm gonna go upstairs and tell Dirk we've got the stuff." Almost before he finished, a voice came down the stairs "Hey guys! I think I've got something!" Phil turned back to Avis and said "Come on, he may have found a working phone," before he turned and headed towards the stairs.
