Hi there, I have a buff barred wyandotte rooster. He has a buff barred tail too, not black. I believe he's on eWh. He is also very light, which tells me he has the B/B gene. I have a buff hen available which is ideal to breed buff barred, both male and female. I also have a barred hen (cuckoo). She is probably E/E and S. Not ideal to cross with the buff barred, I suppose.
But then I have a pile wyandotte hen. I think she is e+/e+ and dominant white. Question is: what would happen if I combine this one with the buff barred rooster? A chicken calculator I used shows buff barred offspring too.

@Rose Quartz did some studying on genetics, but Im at a loss, myself.
From what I've seen, the chicken calculator is pretty good. You might want to plug the grandparents into the equation, too, if you haven't already. This might help you get a more accurate answer.

@AMERAUCANAS4REAL did the feather genetics i was looking into egg shell color.

I'd agree with except unsure if it would be black tailed or not.
I had mille fleur cochins that were on both wheaten and wild type and both. They all plumaged out MF buff columbian with mottling. So I think buff on wild type will be the same.
Of course everything all will be barred.
The tail idk. Of course MF all had black tail so...
I've crossed pure buff with columbian and all offspring had black in tail but not as much. IDK how wild type is going to come into play.
If it does show black then all offspring would have white since hen is dominate white.
So I'd be able to see barred buff but would guess barred buff with some white tail feathers.
That sounds interesting. If you end up with offspring come back and post pics.
