The bird from John had a nice blue egg. The other line the F1 hen laid a green egg but her lavender F2 pullets laid a real nice blue/green egg with high gloss to it. My blacks that I used with the Lavender old rooster all laid blue to one darker glossy blue egg with a halo around the one end. I culled very hard for egg color on my blacks over the last year and only have 6 hens left. HS
