Genetics how did this happen?

I didn't really understand the explanation on the genetics, I have a headache today though so maybe it's just me.

Most of my chicks from the blue wheaton turned out blue or black (9 each) with some red leakage. So it seemed like the bbs worked exactly the same as any other birds. I had 5 chicks that had the wheaton over top of the bbs. 1 with black underneath and the rest were blue. But they had the gold color over top that hid most of it.

I'll post a picture of a few.

First pic The girl in the middle has black feather tips instead of grey. The one on the right is not from the wheaton mix at all.

This guy looks just like his dad, except he has a differnt comb.

These 2 are mixes.

The 3 hens here are all mixes.

Some of the blue and black ones dont have any red leakage, but most do.

https://kippenjungle.nl/Overzicht.htm#intro this is a calculator that you can put in the parent colors and it'll show you the offspring! :D

Blue Wheaten + Black = 50% black (carrying wheaten) and 50% blue (carrying wheaten)

The red leakage you're seeing is probably because they're carrying wheaten but don't quote me on that! 🤣
