So- I have been doing some test hatches of a a trio of Easter eggers. I'm am not sure what color the rooster is he is an Americana and not any recognized color. The two hens I have with him are white, one is all white with green legs with a regular pea comb, and the other is Paint with very dark blue/slate legs she also has a modified pea comb (straight/lea I'm assuming). Both have muffs/beard. The rooster has a pea comb, no muffs but has beard I think (will double check later) and he has blue "Ameraucana" legs with pink soles. He is similar in pattern to Wheaton splash Ameraucana's I've seen if I'm remembering the color name correctly. He has what I thought was maybe a blue or even chocolate variant in his plumage as well.

Anyways - so first chick I got yesterday was all yellow down- totally expected. Second and third chicks are chipmunk patterned in two different shades. Also expected. Fourth chick is Lavender!?!?

The parents of the white hens were a leghorn hen and and an Americana rooster. I will post pictures of him.

Can someone explain to me where the lavender could be coming from? Is it the rooster? Or could either of those hens be hiding lavender under the white? If it is the hens, would you suspect the paint one first or is it a complete toss up?

Photos attached to this are the rooster who fathered the hens in question and one of the leghorn hens that would have been the mother to one of hens in question.

I will add photos of the other birds later in new comments below as I take them or find them. Also now that I'm looking at the photos on the rooster where did the hens leave comb come from?

This is the rooster who fathered the chick in question. As you can see his color is a mismash. The tail color is what I wasn't really certain on whether he was just blue or possibly chocolate.
