Genetics of spangling and lacing for dummies

I once had a Wheaten based Columbian with blue laced red patterning too, but it was only on parts of the body, and was horrible quality lacing, and didn't show up on the girls at all.

I mean true lacing, I'd love to see on female Wheatens.

Where'd you get them from? You'd be surprised how many hatchery based stock are actually just poor quality Polish. . .

if yours aren't hatchery based, I'm sorry, I just mean to point out the fact that they are often indeed Polish with poor lacing and/or spangling and small crests

Judging from some of the crests, there's Polish in them, but I believe they are at least partly Brabanter.

Probably a stupid question but I'm gonna ask anyway. I'm new to polish and breeding in general....what would the offspring be if I crossed a spangled polish roo with a buff laced polish hen?

I am working on a lacing project. I want to get lacing on blue ameraucana. As of right now the best they have is "edging". I have learned a lot about the difference between lacing and edging...two totally different things.
Just chiming in so I can follow this thread.
