Genius ways to keep cows out!?

My cows love to go in to the chicken coop, knock their water around and their feed.

I mean I guess it’s fair since I turned their loafing shed in to my coop LOL but still.. they need to stay out!

Any ideas? I’m thinking a bar hung from the top where I can move it easily but they won’t realize they can. Thoughts?

Rig up a system that only allows the gate to open 8 inches.
That opening will only allow chicken size critters.

I don’t want to cut the fence in the pen. We have a lot of predators, this has so far kept them from getting in, I lost 3 guineas to a bobcat last year that managed to get his paws in.

That’s not a bad idea.. will look at how to do that

use a chain with a lenght of heavy PVC slid on it enough to leave a gap of about a foot... Each end of the chain has a clip on it for the chainlink. This holds the door open for chicken access and shut enough to keep Cowsies out...

Id use at least two inch diameter 4o Gauge PVC pipe... run the chain all the way through and fasten it each end.... With wire or Zip ties so it doesnt slip off when you open the gate for access.

@Unicornlife3316 I wanted to tell you your setup is very much like mine.... All Dog kennel panels. Good for chickens.... But disaster for goats.... Little reprobates.

When i move back home and restart my flock those panels are going to get a half wall of ply wood like yours.... I dont have a barn so I will be doing a tin roof....

I too hate to cut the panels but it can be done for pop doors if you need some instructions.
