Wow.
When I heard his name on the TV this morning I thought it was for the Mark Twain award and kept on doing those before-work chores. I didn't know he died until I heard it on the radio as I drove to work.

I'll miss him, and his commentary on life. He was a real character!

What a loss. I will miss his real life humor! But that's George Carlin for you. His own little brand of shock value!!! He chose to die unexpectedly. Just like his humor. Was anybody as shocked as I was to see him as the miniature conductor on Thomas the Tank Engine a few years ago? Knowing his brand of comedy, it was a complet 360 for me.
He will be missed by adults and children of that era alike. :aww

Bummer.

I wasn't really surprised to see him in that role as train conductor. Not only because the role would shock people! But also because I think there was a lot of gentleness under that fiery persona he flaunted.

I'm sad that he won't get to go collect the Mark Twain award later this year. If anyone was the epitome of Mark Twain, I think it's Carlin!
