I don't know of anyone around here who is, and I think if you get a "real" judge then it will become "official" and that whole NPIP bs will resurface. What we did at the SC swap in Irmo was get the 4H kids were who there volunteering @ the TSC that day to "judge", based on breed uniqueness, type (body shape, horizontal wings (not dragging), if single comb standing straight up with well defined points), well defined markings (no blurred lines), and pretty much what attracted them the most. I showed them my RIR roo (that wasn't in the show) and used that as my tool to "coach" them on what to look for based on what he had and his faults. Based on the their judgining results, I'd say that got it right. LOL

SO, I don't know if the dog adoption people will be there on that saturday or not, but they usually are. IF THEY ARE, I would suggest getting them to be "judges" when they get the chance or are done doing whatever their doing. OR you can get 2 or 3 TSC employees to be judges which is what we were going to do in Irmo but then the 4H kids wanted to be involved so we did. OR since I'm President of the Cross Creek FFA Alumni, I can contact the advisor of the local chapter and get a few of the the students to be our judges. It will give the kids some extra credit and possibly help start a new mini-curriculum (chickens & other poultry) and also possibly create other chicken lovers!!

That is just my 2 cents worth. What do ya'll think??
