~ * GeorgiaLina Chickenstock 2011 * Augusta, Georgia ~

I've just submitted the request for the BYC banner. They are having problems with the google document that allows us to view the requests and locations, but i did report it. SO, here's to hoping they get it fixed and we can get the banner. It's 2 months in advance so we should be good!

If everyone PM's me that is attending I can make them. I was also thinking of changing the swap name to "GeorgaLina ChickenStock". What does everyone else think?

I should be able to make it. I got friends near by so good reason for a visit. I'd think about posting a notice on the SC and GA farmers broads and maybe a notice on the Craiglist a few days before the event.

Use to be a member GON but that was years ago. Not real sure if how the poultry section works.

The Chickenwhisperer has a national poultry show and is in Sandy Springs, GA. He does live shows from all kinds of chicken show/meatings all around the USA. He would be a great score if you could get him and even if he can't make the chickenstock he might be willing to talk about if on air or blog it for you on facebook and twitter.

OH yea, I was reading about the pig thing and we do a greased up pig at Hill Billy Day every 4th of July. We use a piglet and the grown ups cover the pig in lard and let it go in a coral and the kids chase and catch it. They only do it once as I think it is hard on the piglet. We also do a greased pole. They set up a new skinned pine pole covered in grease that's 15 feet tall. There a sack tied on top with money in it. Takes about seven poeple to get the money as you end up making a human piramid.
