Gerbil Food for chickens?

If it's not safe, could you help me figure out what's not safe about it?
I fed out a 25# bag of guinea pig diet (not the pretty stuff) over the past 6 months to my chickens.. There have been no detectable ill side effects.. no change in egg production or flavor, no ill birds, etc.. moderation counts.

Based off the (limited) guaranteed analysis and ingredients list in the link provided.. looks a little low in protein and a little high in fat.. but as snacks go.. not too bad.

Some of those ingredients are not recommended for regular long term use due to their anti nutrient properties.

But I'd use it without hesitancy.. as a snack and on a short term and limited basis (according to flock size) to use up what is available. This is just my opinion based on extensive poultry nutritional research, please always use YOUR best judgement!

Awesome, tyvm! It's just a small bag of feed that I didn't want to go to waste. Probably no more than a handful or two/day among 10 birds, so as long as there's nothing toxic, they will be alright.
