German sex link?

    So, the little tan and yellow chick in the forefront of this pic is one I picked up at the flea market this weekend. The man I bought her from said she was a robar (best guess on the spelling) a sex link chicken from Germany, still pretty rare in the US. Since then however I have not been able to find much of anything online about German sex link chicks and nothing at all about robars. Was the guy full of it or do any of y'all know anything about robars -- or what this 7-week old might be if she isn't German. Thank you.
     
  2. One way to tell is to listen and see if the little chick "sprechen sie deutsch". Then for sure you'll know its German. :gig

    All kidding aside. I haven't heard of a robar. Not that they don't exists. Sex links can be achieved by several different kinds of chickens.

    Popsicle, I think you're right. What I've got is a Rhodebar and after doing a little reading on them I think I may go back and get a few more. They sound like great birds. Chick Charm, she has a nice song but I can't really trace the accent [​IMG]
