German Shepherd Dog puppies...

You have just made me so jealous! LOL!

I love German Shepherds and have always wanted it. I especially love the working-bred ones...they are definitely more structurally stable and overall more classic and original.

Currently I own a GSD mix... so I'm half-way there, lol!

take care of those cuties! Thanks for posting.

We are having a lot of fun with these little ones! Both DH and I retired young and have unlimited time for training or we would never have attempted to raise 2 puppies at the same - esp. dogs that are so intelligent and work driven. BillieBrat - I am amazed that you have 8 GSDs under the age of 4 - that is a real challenge!

They are doing well in crate training, in fact they go in the crates on their own to take naps. We are working on basic commands - sit, down, etc. and will be going to "puppy classes" after they have had the rest of their basic shots. We plan on training to compete in aglilty and obedience. We will be evaluating them to see if they are suited for Schutzhund training. We got them from Kromerhaus Kennel near Bethlehem, PA. http://www.kromerhaus.com

Aww I hit their website and couldn't find pedigrees... Sigh, I'm a pedigree junky. Was Frieda the pup's mother? She has some half sibs that are Adler Stein, and I've known some of those dogs in the past. Also some Kirschental blood back there, that can be some good stuff. I lean toward czech and Haus Iris based dogs for myself in the past. Fortunately the OFA keeps good pedigree records now it's a lot more easy to search.

The pups mom is Sky vom Jurgen Haus (sable) she isn't in the pedigree database yet but her parents are. They are Ritchi vom alten Felsenkeller

and Witch von der Langerts

The dad is Rambo vom Ludwigseck (solid black)

I too love to read the pedigrees - they are very interesting. Many dogs in the pups bloodline can be traced back into the late 1800s. Both parents are 4 years old and were imported when they were around a year old.
