German yellow pickled eggs

INGREDIENTS

* hard boiled eggs
* 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
* 1 bay leaf
* 1 teaspoon white sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2 cups apple cider vinegar
* 1 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves
* 1 clove garlic smashed
* 1/2 onion sliced thin
* 1 teaspoon peppercorns

DIRECTIONS

1. Place the hard boiled eggs into a mason jar or jars. You can fit about 10 to 12 average size eggs in a large size jar. In a saucepan, stir together the mustard, sugar, turmeric, salt, and herbs/spices, cider vinegar, onion, and garlic. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently. Pour over a strainer into the jars with the eggs. Put the lid on the jar, and refrigerate for a few days before eating for best flavor.

You rock! we lost our recipe when we had a flood when I was a kid-

My dad has craved his grandma's pickled eggs since then. I hope this is at least close.
