You can also tell with silkies, the males will stand up straight while females stand more in a squatting position.

Yes I used cake decorating food coloring its a gel. It will wear off as well just so I can tell the seven apart!

My two black silkies I'm guessing they are at least a month if not slightly older they are fully feathered out. What gender are they??? We are hoping for two hens
