well I completly SUCK at incubators thats for sure, 6 eggs hatched out of about 5 dozen by now trying, so I was wondering if theres ways to Encurage a hen to go broody? I have a nice pen to have her alone in thats about 4 1/2 X 3, wire bottom and a nest box in the back with alot of hay, I tacked up sometarp to the sides to make it dark in there cuz I was told it helps them to go broody, True? Also, I have different bantams, I have 1 blue Rosecomb and 2 Brahma's and 1 Brahma/Rosecomb mutt. All are laying so who would you think would go broody the easiest? Any info will help Thanks!

I don't know of anything to get them to start setting when you want. But try to leave a few eggs in the nest. I have a bantam that goes broody several times a year, seems like when I forget to get the eggs and there's a half dozen she wants to set on them.
